Rogue Wave is the second book in the Waterfire Saga and it is really good. Neela and Serafina met Becca, Ava, Astrid, and Ling are related to  The Six Who Ruled, powerful mages who once ruled all of the seas long ago.  The monster  that the mermaids have to defeat is stirring up again and the mermaids have to find the talismens of the Six Who Ruled. Serafina believes that her talismen is in a shipwreck where a ghost is there protecting the talismen . Will the ghost kill her or give her the talismen? On her way she sees someone from her past. Will it affect her mission? Meanwhile Neela goes to Matali to warn her parents the they could get invaded. But her parents don't believe her and think she is crazy so they lock her in her room so she can relax.  Neela escapes and goes to Kandina where her talismen is located in a Razormouth dragon cave.
